3 DAYS GORILLA TREK IN BWINDIS
Day 1:Drive to Bwindi
This is the first day of this trip and our driver will pick you up either from your hotel or from the airport and embark on this long drive towards the Southwestern part of the country to Bwindi impenetrable forest which is a journey of between 8-9 hours. Although it may seem quite a long drive, it is worth it because you get to enjoy the countryside scenery with some of the most beautiful landscapes ranging from plantations, hills, all the way to the Virunga massive. Just keep your cameras near you and your driver will definitely stop if you need him to, so that you can capture that beautiful moment.
You will have an en-route stopover at the Equator crossing at Kayabwe for the photography and a simple experiment before you continue to Mbarara town for Lunch. After lunch, you will embark on your scenic drive to Bwindi NP where you will reach in the evening and check in for dinner and overnight at Rushaga Gorilla camp(mid range). Meals on FB
DAY 2: Gorilla Tracking day
After your early morning breakfast, your guide will drive you to Ruhija Park Headquarters for briefing and allocation of a gorilla family to trek before heading into the forest for your actual gorilla trek. This trek can last for between 3- 7 hours depending on the location of mountain gorilla family on that particular day. Once you find the gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them while observing their behavior,taking photographs before you return to the Park Headquarters for your certificate that confirms that you have tracked gorillas in Uganda.Return to you hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: Drive back to Kampala.
This is the last day of this trip and you will wake up and have a relaxed breakfast. Then you will start on your drive back with en route lunch in Mbarara.Then you will proceed on your journey reaching in Kampala late in the evening and you will be dropped at your hotel or at the airport if at all your flight is due and this will mark the end of this trip.
